April Newsletter

Happy Spring! 

Spring is full of new beginnings! We, like plants and animals, start to emerge from our winter hibernation as the weather warms up. It's time to start something new!

What's the Deal?

Beachbody has decided to continue the All-Access Beachbody on Demand and for April only they are offering the All-Access Beachbody on Demand Challenge Pack for a discount price of $160, regularly $199!  I have had the All-Access BOD since December and I am loving it!  I now have access to the programs I didn't already have like Country Heat and I just started a new ChaLEAN Extreme/Cize hybrid with yoga on Saturdays :)

They are adding a new Beachbody on Demand only program by Leandro (from Brazil Butt Lift) on May 16th called You v2!  It's all about dancing and having fun.  They also have a kid version available so you can do it with your kids! I want to do it with my boys once summer vacation comes around :)  The program is four weeks long and all the workouts are only 30 minutes.  It's a perfect program for beginners, those who like to dance (like me!), and moms (also me) :)

Coming out July 12th is Shift Shop: The 3-Week Rapid Rebuild by the new Beachbody Super Trainer Chris Downing! Shift Shop is for anyone that wants to ramp up their fitness fast. In three short weeks you progress from basic 25 minute workouts to advanced 45 minute routines - all while honing your nutrition for optimal results. It's great for all fitness levels. If you have a lot of weight to lose, Shift Shop will be your on-ramp to fitness. If you've spent some time away from your regular routine, Chris will lead through a fitness tune-up. It's perfect for anyone who wants an easy commitment to jump-start their regimen.

Do you love yoga like me? You will love all the amazing yoga practices on Beachbody on Demand!  If you're a beginner you can start at the 3 Week Yoga Retreat or you can go straight to the yoga studio that has intermediate yoga.  New practices are added all the time!  They added new ones in March and they are going to add more in April too!  They are getting increasingly more difficult, adding handstands and other inversions.

February Newsletter

It's already February 2017! This is the time of year when those New Years resolutions start waning and we all start going to back to what is comfortable.  It's the time when we have to recommit to why we started and remember how we want to feel this time next year. Someone once told me, you should blog more... I don't know what to write about...
but then every now and then a post is just WAY too long for facebook and then I realize I could blog, maybe not consistently, but God gives me Blog worthy stuff every now and then here is an example of that.. lol

My First Blog of the New Year ...

In my quest to be more structured, professional & organized this year I want to remind people I'm not that girl that keeps a tidy house, I don't do my hair or make up everyday & the sink is 90% of the time stacked full of dishes. 
I share my struggles pretty openly, I do filter my IG food pics & I try to crop out the mess when possible, I try to get the best lighting for my sweaty selfies...I've never been afraid to post my struggles & admit i'm not perfect!

My current struggle is different. I've done a ton of trainings that reminds me if I want people to take me seriously I need to dress like a professional & put more thought into my photos & appearance. And on the flip side I need to BE MYSELF!

I won't even tell you how many selfies I have to take before I get one that would be considered post-worthy, WHAT?

... guess what... what works for one person doesn't always work for the next..

I want to peel back the curtain and let you in on a little secret.

SELF-DISCIPLINE & Consistency IS THE STRUGGLE... Fitting in is not the answer! Doing it JUST like someone else doesn't work! It's about self improvement & just when I improve in one area I fall off in another!

I struggle. We all struggle!
No sense in pretending we don't!

I crave more order & peace just like everyone else!
Do you crave to be better?

Especially now that I'm not only a stay at home working mom, I'm a stay at homeschooler & working mom! And I crave getting my crap together more now than ever before!
Do you currently know any moms who would say, “No, I feel really great about how everything’s going and I’m totally organized and my life is perfect.” ?? I'm guessing No! We jus assume that of people until we get to truly KNOW them!

I know I have the BEST intentions but I fall short when it comes to discipline and structure.

I have bought all the calendars, binders, file folders, wipe board, journals... I've read a handful of books and listened to podcast on organizing and managing my time. And they are all great tools but they never make a real difference!

Maybe you have all the books on finances or health... can you relate here???

Nothing will work unless you realize it's YOU that creates the freedom, peace health you desire!

All the reading and planning in the world won't help me lol

In the past I would think something's wrong w me, I would throw a little pity party & shut down for a days or weeks.

Over the last 7 years I've grown, but I'm still a work in progress!

Too easily i get distracted by comparing my life to someone else's, too busy looking at what I didn't have vs what I wasn't DOING! Im gonna stop standing in my own WAY!

I constantly have to remind myself to apply what I already KNOW!
And use what I already have!

I am the problem!
I am standing in my own way!
I'm forgetting Who God created ME to be! Just when I think I don't care what others think God whispers and redirects me!

He teaches me so so much through my children, they are also unique, but so easily influenced...
I want to be a better example for my boys. Want them to do their best, but not for anyone else!

I want to teach them to be themselves unapologetically!

I can teach them that if we are our problem, we are also our solution!

You can't just learn from others & read the book, print it out, wrote it down...and expect to change... you must DO something with what you learn!

If you’ve struggled with self-discipline, if you’ve struggled with being organized or feeling like you don’t have it altogether. Welcome to the CLUB! Just recommit, refocus!
Remind yourself that action starts with you, discipline starts with you, change starts with you.

What is One thing you can do today before the sun goes down to create momentum?

Is your kitchen’s a mess. Laundry out of control? Work space messy?

Just get up & go do something about it till it's COMPLETE!
Finish it! Do the stuff you need to be doing! And then get up the very next day & repeat it!

You can apply this to ANY area of your life!
Health, Relationship, Financial, Family...
Just freak'n Do it already!

And Ask God to help you with self discipline! Ask God to keep your mind on the things that matter!
He is the only one we need to please! And when you do anything with good intention, you will have PEACE!

Annual All-Access Beachbody on Demand Membership Details

For much of my life I have been an inconsistent exerciser. I have started to work out so many times only to quit a few weeks or months later when life got busy or I got bored with the workout I was doing. I wanted to find something I could keep doing for the rest of my life, but finding the time and money for gyms or classes was hard and although I liked the idea of at home workouts I just didn't believe I had the self-motivation to keep going.

It's been 2.5 years since I started working out 6-7 days a week when a friend posted about the new PiYo at home workout program and I haven't looked back. I have learned over this 2.5 years that I need a lot of variety in my workouts to keep me going. 

Luckily in the spring 2015 Beachbody came out with Beachbody on Demand which has all their older and some newer programs, plus programs that are only available on Demand. I have loved that I can do any type of workout I want any time of day, which has been great with three kids and a husband with a weird schedule. I can really listen to my body and choose a higher intensity workout or strength training or yoga, so much to choose from!

To make Beachbody on Demand even better Beachbody is offering a spectacular deal that will only be available December 27, 2016 - February 28, 2017! For this limited time Beachbody will be offering the ALL-ACCESS challenge pack and an upgrade for existing customers! I'm super excited! For me BOD is the best way to continue working out on a regular basis since there is so much great new content coming out every month and so much cheaper and easier than going to the gym! Seriously people you need this! 

What is all-access Beachbody on Demand?
This all-access means you will have ALL Beachbody programs including Core de Force, Country Heat, 22 Min Hard Corps, PiYo, 21 Day Fix, and Cize which are not currently in the member library. PLUS you will get all the new programs that come out during 2017! You will also get 10% off on your Team Beachbody purchases including Shakeology and Performance supplements with your membership!

What is included with the All-Access Challenge Pack?
The challenge pack will come with Fix containers, shaker cup, and a bag of Shakeology plus a year of all-access BOD. Everything you need to start and continue your health & fitness journey!  Plus 10% off your Team Beachbody purchases including your Shakeology.

What if you already have Beachbody on Demand?
If you're an existing customer you can upgrade your BOD for the same price you already pay for regular BOD, but you have to do it between Dec 27-Feb 28! 

How much does it cost?
It will only be $199 for the all-access challenge pack and $99 for the annual all-access Beachbody on Demand.

If you already have an annual or six month membership you will be charged $99 and then be reimbursed for the portion of your membership you haven't used.  If you have a quarterly membership your new annual membership will be back-dated to the last time you paid and you will be charged $61.08. If you bought a challenge pack December 1-26, 2016 you can upgrade for only $69, but you need to do it by January 31, 2017.

How do you upgrade your Beachbody on Demand?
Go to starting on 12/27/16.  If you have the free 30 day trial you will need to upgrade your account after your trial period has ended.  The All-Access content should be available within 5 business days of upgrading.  

How soon is content available after purchasing the All-Access membership? All-Access content should be available within 24-48 hours of purchasing. 

What if you want the All-Access Beachbody on Demand, but don't currently have it and don't need the challenge pack? 
You will be able to purchase the Annual All-Access Beachbody on Demand membership (BOD only) without the challenge pack on December 27-February 28.

What happens after the Annual All-Access membership expires?
You will be automatically re-enrolled in the Annual All-Access membership and billed $99.95. Meaning you will be able to continue having the all-access membership until you cancel your annual membership!  All the new content that comes out will be automatically added to your account without having to unlock them!

Is the Annual All-Access membership replacing any other Beachbody On Demand/Team Beachbody Club memberships?
The Annual All-Access membership will replace the existing annual offer. All other Beachbody On Demand/Team Beachbody Club memberships will still be available for purchase.

Favorite Healthy Tips

๐ŸŽ„yay!! The holidays are here๐ŸŽ 
– a magical time of year filled with sparkling lights,๐Ÿช๐Ÿฐ homemade treats, loved ones and holiday feasts. 
Although there is much more to this season than these large meals, the festivities most certainly can become centered around the dinner table.

Many of us give up on our health goals during this time of year, planning on picking back up where they left off in the new year. It can sometimes feel like a lost cause even attempting, but I have some good news for you! You do not have to compromise your health goals this season, and better yet, you also don’t have to compromise missing out on your favorite holiday meals. With a few healthy tips you can implement this season and beyond, you can add some healthy additions to your meals 
without anyone noticing. 

A few of my favorite healthy tips are…
Ditch and Switch. 
Ditch the refined foods and switch them with healthier options. For example, instead of using refined white flour 
and/or sugar, use almond flour or coconut sugar instead. 
There are many alternatives to choose from, and you can most definitely find one that you will love – and I bet you nobody will even notice! 
Aside from the sweets, you can also trade out white rice or mashed potatoes with 
creating cauliflower rice or mashed “potatoes” out of cauliflower.

Fresh Herbs and Spices. 
You can really dress up a meal by adding fresh herbs and spices to it – I personally use them every time I cook. I can't keep those so called "incredibly affordable and simple small, fresh herb gardens" Alive in my kitchen window, so i use more dried herbs, but if you have a green thumb you could do the mini herb garden and always have direct access to fresh herbs. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ‍๐ŸŒพ
Even better, there are incredible health properties in many of the herbs and spices we use and love. Many of our favorite 
holiday spices are greatly beneficial for our health and a strong immune system, which is certainly helpful during cold and flu season. Cinnamon, turmeric, cloves, and nutmeg are a few of these popular 
holiday spices that you will reap healthy benefits from, so find a place for them in your recipes anywhere you can! 

Use Different Plateware. 
One of my favorite, most powerful tools to stay on track with my health goals is getting creative with portion control. Instead of using dinner-sized plates, which we tend to fill, use 
smaller plates. Use a mid-sized saucer or salad plate for your dinner plate, and then go back for seconds if needed. A lot of the overeating that we do is mindless, habitual eating because it’s in front of us and we 
were taught to clean our plates. Taking this temptation away helps tremendously, and you’ll very quickly learn how much you actually need to feel satisfied – I guarantee it is less than you are used to! 
With these simple tips, you’ll be well on your way to not entering 
January feeling bloated, discouraged and off track. A truly healthy life revolves around balance – and finding your own personal balance will 
take trial and error.

I had to let go of a lot of self hate, anger, negative self image, depression, LOTS of junk foods, Mt Dew, Oreos and Doritos to name a few. I had to be honest with the state of my health.
